Yarmouth house renovation for a homeowner getting ready to sell. We began with taping and mudding new drywall, priming and painting and then moved onto replacing glass panes in some windows, replacing screens, installing backsplash, installing flooring, installing decorative trim, painting storm windows, replacing copper plumbing with Pex, staining the deck and so much more. The house was listed and sold in just a few weeks!

Kemptville project, the staircase! Probably my favourite component of the project. I had a vision right from the start and we made it happen with a ton of hard work. The stairs were original to the house but the homeowner had removed and then moved them to work better with the open concept design he was looking to obtain.
We filled and sanded, rebuilt broken tread nosings, installed beadboard panels to the risers, boxed in the underside of the unit and then side to close the gap by the wall. A new handrail and spindles were made and then stained and painted to complete the job. My son used a 3D printer to make a template for drilling the holes in the steps and another for drilling the holes in each end of the spindles. All parts of this staircase are very visible and we wanted to make sure everything was straight and evenly spaced.
The homeowner had no idea of my vision and were very pleased with the result.

Kemptville project, baseboards, window casing and window trim completed. Side deck boards cleaned, sanded, replaced rotting ones replaced and then painted. Side door removed, cut and new threshold created as this door has not been used in 30+ years. Exterior doors painted Benjamin Moore Van Deusen Blue inside and out. Exterior siding replaced where needed, and trim installed.

This job was a big one and it was a continuation of the last one posted in January. After initially being hired to tape, mud, sand and prime the homeowners put their house in our hands to complete. The job is too large for one post so we’ll begin with the painting and continue from there over the next week or two.

We finished off our exterior season working on the black trim of the Rennesouth building in Yarmouth. This building was one of the properties featured in the HGTV show Trading Up, which is currently playing on Netflix. We were lucky enough to see inside a couple of the airbnb units - absolutely stunning!
