I always appreciate when someone in Coquitlam takes the time to leave honest feedback after reaching out with a pest concern.

“I called Coquitlam Pest Control, because I have a pest problem which I don't know what it is and what to do. Joe promptly called me back, after he looked at the photo I texted him, he identified the problem and gave me good advice as how to handle it. I feel that Joe is very professional, knowledgeable. Most of all, not hungry or money gouging unless you pay for the service. I have no hesitation or call for his service should I needed it.”

Not every pest concern requires a treatment. Sometimes identifying the issue properly and giving the homeowner practical advice is enough. Taking the time to understand what is happening first can prevent unnecessary worry and expense.

When spider activity keeps coming back, I know there's usually more to it than the webs you can see.

The first thing I want to find out is where spiders are spending most of their time and why they're choosing those areas.

Around Coquitlam homes, I inspect garages, crawl spaces, basements, window frames, exterior walls, and other quiet areas where spiders are commonly active. I also look for conditions that may be attracting insects, since that's often what keeps spiders around.

From there, I focus on the areas with the most activity while helping reduce the conditions that allow spiders to return.

The goal isn't just to remove today's spider webs. It's to make your property a place where spiders are less likely to settle in the future.

Before calling anyone about spiders, I always suggest checking a few simple things around your home first.

Start by removing any webs you find around doors, windows, patios, and under the eaves. Spiders often rebuild their webs in the same locations if the conditions stay the same.

Take a walk around the outside of the house and trim back bushes, shrubs, or tree branches that are touching the exterior. These areas can make it easier for spiders and the insects they feed on to stay close to your home.

Inside, vacuum corners, behind furniture, and quiet storage areas where webs can build up without being noticed.

These steps won't eliminate every spider, but they can help reduce the conditions that encourage them to stick around.

I usually start getting more calls about spiders around Coquitlam in August.

Most homeowners aren't worried when they see one spider. What gets their attention is when new webs keep showing up around the house, even after they've been cleaned away.

Around Coquitlam homes, I often find spiders in garages, basements, crawl spaces, around windows, and in storage areas where there's very little activity.

One thing many people don't realize is that spiders are usually there because they're finding insects to feed on. If your home is attracting insects, it can also become more attractive to spiders.

If you're noticing more webs or spider activity than you did earlier in the summer, it's a good time to take a closer look.

I really appreciated this review from Aprameya Ambale:

“Green valley provided very timely and apt response to the issue we had and had it resolved. Very knowledgeable person. I appreciate it. Thank you.”
That means a lot.

When someone calls with a pest issue, they usually want two things: a clear answer and someone who knows how to handle it.

Rodent problems can be frustrating because they often go unnoticed until the signs start showing up. Getting the issue identified and dealt with early can make a big difference.

Thanks again to Aprameya for trusting the team and taking the time to leave a review.

When rodents keep showing up around a property, there is usually a reason.

I want to know how they are getting in, where they are nesting, and what is attracting them in the first place.

Around Coquitlam homes, I often find small entry points that homeowners never knew were there. Once rodents find food, water, and shelter, they tend to keep coming back.

That is why I start with a detailed inspection.

From there, I can focus on the active areas, look at exclusion work, and point out anything around the property that may be making the home more appealing to rodents.

The goal is not just to deal with the current activity.

It is to reduce the chance of the same problem coming back later in the year.

Before calling anyone for rodents, start with a slow walk around your home.

I always tell homeowners to check around doors, vents, pipes, utility lines, and the foundation. Mice do not need much space to get inside.

Then look at where food is stored.

Bird seed, pet food, garbage, and even fallen fruit in the yard can attract rodents if they are easy to access.

Garages, sheds, and storage areas are worth checking too. If the space is cluttered and quiet, rodents have more places to hide without being disturbed.

These steps may not solve an active rodent problem, but they can make your property less inviting.

Checking early signs every so often can help catch activity before it turns into something bigger.

I usually start getting more rodent calls around Coquitlam in July.

A lot of people think mice and rats are only a cold-weather problem, but I see plenty of activity during the summer too.

Most homeowners do not see a rodent right away.

They notice droppings in the garage, scratching in the crawl space, or a box in storage that looks like something has been chewing on it.

Around Coquitlam, I often find rodents using garages, sheds, crawl spaces, and small openings around the outside of the home. They are looking for food, water, and a quiet place to stay hidden.

The longer they’re active, the more likely they are to contaminate areas, build nesting spots, and damage insulation, wiring, or stored belongings.

If you’re seeing small signs around your home, it’s worth taking a closer look.

He is very helpful.”

A lot of pest situations start with questions, so I always try to respond quickly and give people straightforward information they can actually use.

When carpenter ants keep showing up, it usually means there’s an active nest somewhere around the property.

At Coquitlam Pest Control, I start with a full inspection to identify where the ants are nesting and what conditions are helping them stay active.

Different carpenter ant situations can require different treatment approaches depending on the structure and level of activity.

From there, I use targeted treatments focused on the colony itself while also addressing entry points and contributing moisture issues around the property.

That’s what helps prevent the problem from returning later in the season.
