This simple backyard refresh completes the outdoor sanctuary, converting a gravel hill to a lush garden for future growth. 🏡
Keeping to a material budget of $1K, we managed to plant 2 varieties of Japanese maples, 1 Stowe pillar white pine and few other small plants.
Keeping sustainability and budget in mind, we brought this to life having no waste, replanted existing plants (like splitting hostas), using many larger stones from the yard and finishing off with natural cedar mulch. Pro tip, smelling cedar after it rains is a smell you never get tired of and no chemicals wash off the coloured mulch.
Big or small, Bradley & Darci bring a new vision while minimizing waste and using existing materials when possible to have the least environmental impact.
