This is what can happen when a main breaker makes a bad connection with the busbar. The loose connection creates a lot of heat, gets worse over time and eventually fails, like this one did. The customer called about their hot water tank not working properly and the problem turned out to be a bit more serious than they expected. We ended up replacing the whole panel as this one was compromised and was also very old. For all your electrical troubleshooting needs call Skimmerhorn Electric at 250-977-1989 😁.

Thursday afternoon a windstorm in Kingsgate had knocked over a tree and taken out a customer’s power line and even knocked over their power pole! They did the right thing by calling BC Hydro right away to disconnect their power. We got a new power pole installed later that day, got the new overhead service equipment installed on the new pole Friday and by Friday evening they were connected to BC Hydro power again ⚡️👍.
