MJM Energy has helped thousands of Atlantic Canadians reduce their home energy bills and their carbon footprint with impactful home efficiency upgrades such as Haier heat pumps, spray foam insulation, and cellulose insulation.

More than 1,600 more Nova Scotia households will be able to access free energy efficiency upgrades and reduce their energy bills through investments from the federal and provincial governments.

The $26 million total investment will expand the HomeWarming program and the African Nova Scotian Communities Retrofit Program.

Delivered by EfficiencyOne, these programs make it easier for more low and moderate income households to benefit from energy-saving improvements such as insulation, air sealing and heat pumps.

In 2025-26, more than 18,000 homes took part in programs that helped to reduce reliance on home heating oil, using more than four million fewer litres of oil burned for heat. That meant about 12,000 fewer tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and an estimated $250 million in lifetime savings for home heating oil users.
