Update! The National Heat Pump Rebate is retroactive to November 1st, 2026. This means that households can install eligible heat pumps starting November 1st and still apply for the rebate once the program officially launches in early 2027. On October 8th, $2 billion dollars was announced in funding towards the National Heat Pump Rebate program! Eligible households can receive $2000 towards their new heat pump system, and below-median-income households up to $10,000.

Important Details:

✅ This program can be combined with existing provincial rebate programs however, we are waiting on clarification on how this works with Efficiency Nova Scotia.

✅ This program will confirm approval within 24 hours of your application, with payment approval happening within 5 days. You will eventually be able to apply through an online portal.

✅ An Energy Audit is not required to qualify for this program.

✅ The income qualification range has not been specified yet.

✅ The program is supposed to begin in early 2027, with the possibility of retroactive approvals prior to the new year.
