🌲 The most dangerous tree in Northern BC? It might be your poplar.
Poplars are one of the fastest-growing tree species in our region, which makes them great for quick shade. But as they age, they're also more prone to internal decay, brittle wood, and dropping large branches, especially after strong winds or heavy snow.
That doesn't mean every poplar is dangerous, but regular inspections can catch problems before they become a safety risk.
If your poplar has dead limbs, large cracks, fungal growth, or has started leaning, it's worth having it assessed by a certified arborist.
