Every Lindome structure is built to code. Not a generic standard, but the specific building code that applies to your site.

That means every structure we design is engineered to meet site specific loads for snow, wind, and seismic activity based on where you are building. A structure going up in the Fraser Valley is designed differently than one going up in northern Alberta or coastal BC. The loads are different, the requirements are different, and the engineering reflects that. Every design is done from the ground up for your location.

We review every building we produce. That's not standard practice across the industry, but we think having an unbiased set of eyes on every design matters when you're putting up a structure this size. Stamped drawings are included with every build so you have the documentation you need for permits and approvals.

Our manufacturing facility in Delta is CWB certified, our welders carry their 47.1 designation, and our steel buildings are CSA A660 certified. That designation confirms we meet Canadian standards for design quality, fabrication, handling, and installation.

Built to your code, certified to Canadian, Provincial, and Municipal standards, and backed by independent engineering on every project. Visit us at https://lindomestructures.com/request-a-quote/ or call (604) 946-7966 to talk through your project.

When you're investing in a structure this size, the fabric covering it isn't a detail you want to cut corners on. It's the first line of defense against everything outside, and it needs to hold up for years.

Every Lindome structure uses 26oz PVDF vinyl, not the polyethylene (PE) fabric common across the industry. This is why:

✓ Stays flexible and strong for 15+ years
✓ Heat weldable on site for weathertight repairs
✓ Fire rated (CAN ULC S-109)
✓ UV protected and lacquered to resist dirt and mildew
✓ Cover moves with the structure when you relocate, no replacement needed

PE costs less upfront, which is part of why it's so common. But it breaks down under UV exposure within 5 to 10 years, repairs are limited to glue on patches that rarely hold, and moving the structure almost always means buying a new top.

We use PVDF because a structure this size should be built to last, not built to be replaced.

Not every build comes with a straightforward foundation. This boathouse sits directly on the water, which means every material choice, every fastener, every structural decision has to account for an environment that is actively working against the building. Salt air, constant moisture, tidal movement, and coastal wind loads are not edge cases here, they are the baseline.

Building in a marine environment requires a different level of specification than a standard industrial build. Our galvanized steel framework provides the first line of defense, with hot-dip zinc coating on every structural component to prevent the corrosion that salt water accelerates. Marine-grade fasteners and hardware are used throughout so there are no weak points where rust can take hold. The fabric membrane itself is selected for UV resistance, moisture resistance, and the kind of sustained wind exposure that coastal and waterfront sites see year round.

Beyond the materials, the structure has to be engineered for dynamic conditions. A building on the water moves differently than one on solid ground. Tidal shifts, wave action, and changing load conditions all factor into how we design and specify these projects from the ground up.

If you need covered space on or near the water, we know what it takes to build something that lasts in these conditions. Get your free quote at https://lindomestructures.com/request-a-quote/ - or call us at call (604) 946-7966 to talk through your project.

Most people walk into a building and never think about what's holding it up. We do - which is how we engineer our buildings to last. Rust is one of the biggest threats to any steel structure. It works slowly and silently, weakening the framework from the inside until repairs become unavoidable and replacement becomes a real conversation.

At Lindome, we don't let it get that far. Every structure we build uses hot-dip galvanized steel, where each component is submerged in molten zinc before it ever reaches the build site. That zinc coating is what stands between your building and decades of corrosion, whether it's coastal salt air, prairie winters, or just the slow grind of time.

We've been building this way since 1983 because when you're putting up a structure this size, rust isn't a risk worth taking. Ready to build something that lasts? Get a free quote at https://lindomestructures.com/request-a-quote/

"The Nest is taking shape in Tsawwassen.

98,000 square feet across two climate-controlled buildings. 12 volleyball courts with competition-grade Taraflex flooring. 14 pickleball courts that can expand to 28 for major tournaments. 10m ceilings. Professional lighting. Year-round climate control.

When it opens in Spring 2026, it'll be Western Canada's largest volleyball and pickleball facility. Working on behalf of Tsawwassen First Nation, Volleyball BC, and Seaside Volleyball Club to bring this facility to life. It's the kind of infrastructure investment that serves communities for decades. This purpose-built space can handle the demands of elite competition while remaining accessible for community programming.

This project demonstrates what Lindome's fabric structures excel at: creating massive clearspan spaces that efficiently work for their intended use. The engineering allows for proper ceiling heights with zero interior columns so that the space feels expansive and open. Athletes and amateurs alike get the space they need to perform and play. Facility operators get the layout flexibility they need.

Heavy snow. High winds. Freezing temperatures. That's just winter in Canada. You know it well. The question is whether those conditions stay outside your building or start affecting what happens inside.

Our clients run operations that can't stop when weather turns. Port facilities moving cargo on tight schedules. Manufacturers running three-shift operations that can't pause for the forecast. Aviation facilities protecting aircraft worth millions. Mining companies in remote locations storing equipment and explosives. Military contractors with security-sensitive operations.

When storms hit, these operations keep running inside while the weather does its worst outside.

Our structures create a weather-tight barrier. Weather on one side. Your operations on the other. The engineering ensures that boundary holds through decades of Canadian winters. Equipment stays protected. Teams stay productive. The forecast matters less when your infrastructure handles whatever comes.

We work with external engineers to verify every structure meets or exceeds site-specific building code requirements for snow, wind, and seismic loads.

✓ Engineered to keep storms, snow, and extreme cold outside
✓ Weather-tight envelope means operations continue inside regardless of conditions
✓ Climate control up to R-30 keeps your team comfortable while winter rages
✓ Structures still protecting operations after 20+ Canadian winters
✓ Your people and equipment stay safe and warm inside. The winter stays outside - where it belongs.

Serious coverage for serious operations. Starting at 5,000 sqft across BC and Alberta.

Big projects need infrastructure that makes them possible, not infrastructure that limits what you can do with them.

We're working with operations across BC and Alberta that are scaling up, expanding into new markets, or launching ventures that require serious coverage. The projects are ambitious: 40,000 sqft distribution centers requiring 200-foot clearspans for modern equipment. Composting facilities expanding from one building to four as operations scale. Equipment dealerships adapting display space as inventory changes seasonally.

These projects happen because the infrastructure economics work. Fabric structures deliver the scale these operations need at costs that make the business model viable. You get the coverage, the performance, and the flexibility to adapt as the venture grows - without the price tag that kills ambitious plans before they start.

The engineering backs up the ambition. CSA A660 certified steel framework. Fire-rated fabric. Built to site-specific codes. Insulation up to R-28 when operations require climate control. These structures perform reliably for decades, which matters when you're building infrastructure for long-term growth.

Operations choose fabric structures when the project is too important to compromise and too large to overpay. The coverage protects the investment. The design adapts as plans evolve. And the economics make expansion financially viable instead of prohibitively expensive.

Wherever your big ideas need to grow, we'll build them the shelter. BC and Alberta, starting at 5,000 sqft.

Climate-controlled fabric structures give you 365 days of consistent training conditions. Athletes perform better when they're not fighting weather. Your facility can actually generate revenue year-round instead of sitting empty half the year. Built for snow loads and wind. Insulated options up to R-28 keep operating costs reasonable even when it's cold outside.

The engineering is straightforward: steel frame, fabric envelope, climate control. Systems that facilities can maintain without specialized contractors. Year-round facilities change the game for sports organizations. Higher utilization rates. Predictable revenue streams. Programs that can scale because you're not losing momentum every winter.

The clearspan design is what makes these facilities work. Athletes have room to actually play instead of adapting to posts and low ceilings. Think massive open space with zero columns blocking sightlines or interrupting the game. Proper ceiling heights for serves and shots. Room to add courts as your programs grow. Natural light options that make the space feel open and expansive.

Fabric structures are built to last decades, but like any building, they need regular maintenance to get there.

Annual inspections catch small issues before they turn into expensive repairs. The checklist is straightforward: check for loose or missing bolts, confirm fabric tension is right in both directions, look for any rips or punctures, make sure doors are operating smoothly, and verify mechanical systems like venting or motorized doors are working safely. Most of it is basic upkeep that prevents bigger problems down the road.

We offer annual maintenance packages if you want us to handle inspections and service. Or we can train your operations crew to manage it themselves. Either approach works as long as the maintenance is actually getting done.

If you've got a fabric structure or you're planning to install one, factor maintenance into your long-term plan. It's what keeps a structure performing for 40 years instead of failing at 20. Give us a call if you want to talk about service packages or what your team should be checking regularly.

Engineering calculations for snow and wind loads specific to the site. Steel specifications that meet building codes. Foundation design that'll hold for decades. Crews who've installed hundreds of these and know how to get it right.

This is what's happening before the fabric membrane even goes on. Hot-dip galvanized steel that won't corrode. Anchors designed to handle decades of Canadian weather. Frame specifications that account for actual Canadian snow loads and wind conditions.

When you're evaluating fabric structures, the engineering details matter. Steel gauge. Galvanizing process. Foundation design. These are the things that determine whether a structure lasts 10 years or 40 years.

Our crews have been doing this for over four decades. We know what works because we've seen what holds up and what doesn't over time.

What you need covered space for today might not be what you need it for in five years. Equipment gets upgraded. Product lines shift. Companies grow.

Traditional buildings lock you into a fixed layout. These fabric structures give you flexibility. Need higher clearance down the road? We can modify it. Operation expanding to a new site? The structure can relocate with you. Storage needs change? Reconfigure the interior however makes sense.

This project was built for what the client needs now, but they know their business will evolve. That's why they went with a solution that can adapt instead of one that locks them in.

If you're not certain what your operation will look like in three years, it's worth thinking about structures that give you options instead of permanent decisions.

Reach out and we'll figure out what works for where you're headed, not just where you are today.
