Tree planters in Canada average about 2000 trees a day. The pros? 2500-3500. The legends? 5000+ in a single day. Who wants to share their PB?

🌸 Fireweed is one of the first plants to return after wildfire. Its tiny seeds travel long distances on the wind, settling into open soil where sunlight is abundant.

It plays an important ecological role:
🔥It stabilizes soil after fire.
🐝Provides nectar for pollinators.
🌿Prepares the ground for the next wave of forest regeneration.

You’ll often see fireweed blooming in the very first summer after a burn — though here in Ogoki, it took a full year before it returned.

Tree planting is a special experience. The work is tough, requiring levels of mental and physical endurance that most endeavors do not demand. But what you get out of it (other than the money) is an experience of freedom seldom accessible in any other endeavor. You live in a tent for weeks and months on end. You sleep next to the trees. You don’t see much civilization while you’re in the bush, except during the odd day off here and there. The people in your camp become like family. By the end of the season, you’re a more raw, more real you. Here’s to the special people in our camp this past season and every year.

2025: Our most epic season yet.

From helicopter drops into some of the most remote sites we’ve ever worked, to camps where wildlife sightings were a constant reminder of how alive the forest is, this season had it all. But what made it truly unforgettable was the tree planters – some of the most dedicated crews we’ve ever seen.

It’s resilience, rawness, and an energy you can’t fake — forged by long days, tough weather, and thousands of seedlings. 🌳 6.4 MILLION TREES PLANTED. This spring and summer, we’ve been in beast mode, transforming landscapes and slamming trees in the ground. It’s been an unreal season of sweat, soil, and straight-up dedication—no time for Insta flexing when we’re this deep in the dirt! As we hit the final sprint, we’re hyped to start sharing the full scoop on our wild ride, from epic wins to gritty challenges. Keep your eyes peeled for the story of how we made it happen!

On June 28th, we came together in Kapuskasing, Ontario to celebrate the deep connection between land, industry, and community through the very first Forest Community Renewal Project.

Together, we:
✅ Planted 10,350 native spruce trees
✅ Held a ceremonial tree plant in the local park to honour the local community
✅ Shared stories, food, and fun - all in the spirit of renewal, respect, and reciprocity.

Thank you to and all of our local vendors for showing what’s possible when care for the land and pride in our roots come together.

We’ve got 4 million trees in the ground so far this season, with 2.2 million still to go.

This week, we’re continuing work in the Ogoki Forest, planting 2.2 million trees in an area that burned during a major wildfire in 2023.

Big shoutout to our amazing crews who are doing the nitty gritty and getting these trees in the ground!
