We installed a robust concrete footer over compacted gravel, topped with a sturdy 6x6 beam. To ensure longevity, the beam is fully waterproofed.

Check out this incredible front yard transformation by 4Rest Decks and Piles, your GoliathTech North West Edmonton franchise! We recently completed a stunning pressure-treated deck and front patio makeover that revitalized the entire space.

Our process began with meticulous site preparation, including removing the existing grass and carefully regrading the area under the future deck. We then laid down geotextile fabric for superior w**d control and drainage. For a solid foundation, we installed hand-driven helical piles, ensuring long-lasting stability.

One of the highlights of this project was our custom threaded rod-based ledger board installation. This innovative approach allowed us to securely attach the deck while completely preserving the integrity of the home's brick veneer – a testament to our commitment to quality and thoughtful construction.

To maximize durability, we waterproofed all the framing. We also ingeniously incorporated custom concrete footings for an attached boardwalk, carefully navigating existing tree roots to protect the natural landscape. The project was completed with a functional and attractive paver patio landing, providing seamless access to both the deck and the boardwalk.

Here at 4Rest Decks and Piles, we love helping homeowners transform their outdoor living spaces! Check out this recent composite deck replacement project we completed.

We started by safely demolishing the old deck. Since this project involved a variance from the city, we ensured all necessary permits were secured and followed every step of the process.

With the old deck removed, we prioritized the integrity of your home. We meticulously repaired the house wrap beneath the old ledger board and installed the new ledger with structural lag screws for maximum stability. The entire deck frame was constructed with pressure-treated pine and fully waterproofed using GTape, while the stairs, built from treated ply-lam, received extra waterproofing to stand the test of time. Safety and code compliance are paramount; we even relocated a sprinkler line to allow for a better, code-compliant stair design, correcting the previous overly steep set.

The finishing touches truly bring this deck to life! We installed beautiful Latte by Fiberon composite decking, known for its durability and low maintenance, and complemented it with sleek aluminum railings. We also took care to correct the siding around the ledger and applied silicone and flashing where needed for a complete and watertight finish.
