My name is Mel Macalanda, and I am the owner/founder of MelSeth Contracting Inc. who specialize in home renovations, basement development, handyman services, etc. Prior to starting my own company, I worked as a Site Superintendent for a prominent builder, where my focus was on residential projects. During my time there, I worked with numerous tradespeople and observed their workmanship. While some

were exceptional at their craft, others cut corners and did poor quality work. Because of that I was motivated to start my own business because I am passionate about helping people and educating them on what they need to do to improve their homes. With my background in Construction Management/Contracting, I am able to provide high-quality services and ensure that my clients are satisfied with the work I do. Vision Statement:

Supplied and installed one new natural draft gas hot water tank. Drained and removed the existing water heater, then installed the new unit in the original location. Reconnected the cold and hot water lines, gas line, temperature and pressure relief valve, and venting. Filled the tank, purged air from the system, tested all water and gas connections for leaks, verified proper draft at the draft hood, lit the pilot, and confirmed normal burner operation. Unit is operating properly with no water or gas leaks at the time of completion.

Installed shelving as per customer requirements
Measured and laid out shelving locations, cut and assembled framing, secured shelves to wall framing for structural support, and verified shelves were level and stable. Completed installation and cleaned work area upon completion. Tested for stability and functionality. Shelving is ready for use.

Result: Custom-built garage storage shelving completed, providing increased storage capacity and efficient use of garage space.

🏡 Fence Transformation Complete!

The old fence was leaning, weathered, and reaching the end of its life. We removed the existing fence and installed a brand-new wood privacy fence that follows the grade of the property while providing strength, privacy, and curb appeal.

This project completely changed the look of the backyard and gave the homeowner a fence built to last for years to come.

Removed and disposed of existing deteriorated wood fence. Supplied and installed new cedar privacy fence complete with new posts, rails, trim, and fence boards. Fence line was cleaned, Final product provides improved privacy, security, and overall appearance of the property.

BASEMENT DEVELOPMENT:
Complete basement development including framing, insulation, v***r barrier, drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, painting, flooring, trim, doors, electrical, plumbing, and final finishing. Work includes construction of new rooms as per approved layout, installation of interior doors and hardware, baseboards, casings, lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and smoke/CO detectors as required by code.

All work to be completed in accordance with applicable Alberta Building Code requirements and local municipal regulations. Final cleanup and removal of construction debris included.
