Floor installations are all in the hidden details. On our recent residential project collaborated on with Bold Design (https://www.instagram.com/bolddesigninc/),
the client chose a European White Oak from Hakwood, in the Sincere finish; a triple fumed, white-oiled plank measuring 9.5 inches wide and 8 feet long.
Wide-plank installations are more and more in demand, eliminating lines from the house, spaces look open and airy. Creating a flat transition from hardwood to tile takes careful consideration between the Tile crews and our crews, but the finished threshold shows so much cleaner than any bulky overlap transitions.
On the staircase, every single tread was custom-milled and finished to match the main floorboards, paired with dark stringers and capping to tie into the home's dark wood accents.
