Meet some of the crew who build your deck so you don’t have to (and the one who keeps wandering in to “help” 😉).
Sean Bergman, Founder and Designer: Runs everything outside the shop walls. The heart, soul, and visionary behind all that we do. Sean also likes to mosey in, argue (or *ahem, “have a discussion”) with Jay, distract the crew, and then get gently walked back to his office. He can also occasionally be spotted doing cartwheels on your feed.
Jason “Jay”, Shop Foreman and Materials Engineer: He keeps the whole ship pointed in the right direction, and every single deck that leaves our shop has his hands on it somewhere. Off the clock, he is all in on health and fitness, and he has personally appointed himself in charge of making sure the rest of us eat our vegetables too. We don’t always listen.
Clayton: Originally trained in social work, we’ve dubbed him “king of the panel jig,” and the calm voice that somehow keeps everyone glued together. He is about to head off into the wild (Whitehorse) to chase his career, but we are not-so-quietly confident he will be back.
Owen: Our summer intern who is already a frame expert. Tallest person in the building by a full head, you can say he’s someone we all look up to 😃 Owen is a genuinely great addition to the team, and we are hoping he forgets whatever he went to school for and just stays... if that doesn’t work, we’ll force him.
Tannis (not pictured, and that’s exactly how she planned it): If you’ve bought a deck from us, you already know Tannis. She talks every customer through their deck needs (and occasionally their other needs, she’s good like that), all while running freight and logistics without breaking a sweat. Off the clock she leads a running workshop and makes genuinely stunning art and jewelry. The camera-shy legend who somehow holds the whole front end together. You’ll hear her before you see her, which is never.
