Scaffolder Training Program

Are you interested in starting a new career path? Are you looking to learn new skills to advance your employment prospects? Join Wrapex Industrial Services Inc.’s Scaffolder Training Program.

Our expert’s will guide you through the hands-on techniques and industry best practices, and provide the foundational training expected in the industry. Learn the essential skills needed to start your career as a Scaffolder.

Successful applicants will receive training in:
Scaffolding Basics (24 hours total, over three 8 hour days, in-person)
Wrapex WHIMIS 2015 (1 hour, online)
H2S Alive (8 hours, in-person, via AT Safety, a $145.00 value)

And will be guided to complete free training online:
CSTS 2020 online (2-3 hours, online CSTS 2020 - yourACSA.ca)

Minimum requirements of applicants:
• Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs of materials
• Ability to meet physical demands; bending, walking, climbing
• Be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions
• Have proficient English language skills
• Must have steel-toed boots
• Must have access to a computer with internet
• Must have transportation

Cost: $0

Individuals that successfully complete our program will be considered first for upcoming positions at our various project sites, however there is no guarantee that those who successfully complete our program will be hired.

Insulators in Grand Prairie

Job Summary
Wrapex Industrial Services Inc. is currently seeking full-time insulators, specifically journey person's, 2nd & 3rd years for a job in Grande Prairie.
Responsibilities and Duties
Candidates must have the ability to apply insulation materials to heating, cooling systems, pipe lines and piping equipment and pressure vessels, and other structures, to prevent or reduce the passage of heat, cold, sound or fire. Other duties may include:
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select type of insulation required
• Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists
• Install of v***r barriers and fabricate metal sheets when required
Qualifications and Skills
Must possess valid tickets in
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) 09 certificate
• H2S Alive
• OSSA Fall Protection
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
• Whmis 2015
• EGSO (Electronic General Safety Orientation)
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation
• Blue Book is an asset
• Must have own hand tools and steel toed safety boots
• Ability to work with a variety of insulation materials
• Ability to multi task successfully and meet deadlines
• Ability to work with heavy loads
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding fast pace environment that may be located outdoors, in varied heights, in confined spaces, in dangerous and/or dusty environments.
• Self-motivated and a team player with all teams/trades
• Must support a safety-orientated work environment

JM Tubers- Lloydminster

Wrapex is currently looking for individuals with tubing experience for a project in Lloydminster, and there is subsistence offered for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Layout, measure, bend, fabricate and install tubing, small piping and supports for utility, process and interment systems.
• Select tubing size, fittings and wall thickness according to project specifications.
• Min. 3 years oilfield fabrication shop experience
• Motivated individual, work well with others as well as alone
• Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Tubers must be proficient with bending stainless steel tubing and fittings
Qualifications:
Apprentice Level:
• Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or
• Be a registered apprentice.
• Motivated and willing to learn.
• As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
Journeyman Level:
• Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
• 1-2 years of directly related work experience.
• As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
• This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.
