We've been heads down, working hard for a couple months on a project renovating 4 floors of a historical building downtown on Jasper Ave. We just finished installing a data rack for the network and cameras.

One of our top 5 biggest residential PV installs, and definitely the easiest! 24.92kW DC!

BLDG was involved in this project from very early on. We were able to suggest a standing seam metal roof, and a large south facing slope without vents. That meant a very simple array layout, with 0 roof penetrations! Proper planning yields high quality results.

Here we have a DC coupled battery and PV system. 25kW DC with 15.2kW AC and 40kWh of battery. The beauty of a DC coupled battery is that we can charge the battery with the excess DC power, reducing clipping and cost by not requiring bigger inverters.

As you can see in the production screen, were able to utilize all 25kW of generated power on this site, even though the AC capacity is only 15kW.

These small details matter (alot) and are one of the many things that sets BLDG apart from your average PV installer. Feel free to reach out for a detailed design and quote for your own home!
