📍 Edmonton and surrounding areas saw some serious wind that day… and unfortunately many roofs didn’t stand a chance due to poor workmanship.

📞 During that week alone, our team received 274 phone calls and 90+ emails from homeowners dealing with storm damage.

🏠 One of our clients contacted PJ Roofing after discovering that nearly 50% of their roof had been severely damaged. We immediately dispatched one of our estimators to assess the situation and determine the safest and most durable solution.

🔨 After a full inspection, the damaged section required a complete replacement.

❄️ Despite the cold conditions, our team successfully installed the new roofing system using cold-weather hand-tabbing techniques, a method we use at PJ Roofing to ensure shingles bond properly and remain secure even in freezing temperatures.

Our client came to us worried they would have to have this beautiful section taken apart on their front deck porch. They had been told by other roofing contractors that the only solution was to dismantle it completely.

This add-on was originally installed to bring natural light onto the porch while still offering protection from the elements. It was designed to create a bright, inviting space where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the outdoors comfortably.

Instead of telling them it had to come down, we slowed down and did our due diligence. We took the time to understand exactly how the system worked, from the structural framing to the finishing details. Once we fully understood it, we were able to repair the section properly and preserve the original design.

This area was meant for peaceful mornings, evening conversations, and simple moments of enjoyment. It deserved care, not demolition.

Sometimes it’s not about tearing something down. It’s about understanding it well enough to bring it back to life.
