This September, HIBCO Construction and First General Edmonton are proud to have 3 teams taking on the 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 fundraiser in support of our charity of choice, the Edmonton's Food Bank. Our teams will be climbing a local hill repeatedly until we've collectively matched the elevation of Mount Everest, an incredible physical challenge inspired by the global '𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴' movement. Step by step, lap by lap, we'll be tackling the hill alongside other teams, each raising funds for a cause close to our hearts.

Because of community support, the Food Bank provides food hampers to more than 43,000 people monthly, while also providing over 500,000 meals and snacks to soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and other community groups.

Community is a pillar of both our companies, and your support goes beyond us. It helps our neighbors when they need it most.

Two hours north of Revelstoke in the remote community of 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗕𝗖, our crew just pulled off something worth sharing.

This 𝟯-𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘆, 𝟱𝟭-𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 sits right in the heart of a community that houses BC Hydro employees working at the hydroelectric dam nearby.

Building in isolation means building smart. Logistics, materials, communication, every challenge magnified by the location. But with the right crew and airtight planning, Hibco craned, structurally connected, and weather-sealed 18 modules in just 4 weeks.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘆.

Last Saturday, the HIBCO team took on the challenge of the Sulphur Skyline Trail, putting our determination, resilience, and team spirit to the test. From seasoned hikers to first-time adventurers, everyone pushed through the climb and reached the summit.

While the panoramic views were certainly a highlight, the most rewarding part of the journey was seeing our commitment to 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 come to life on the trail. Team members encouraged one another, shared words of motivation, lent a helping hand when needed, and celebrated every achievement together.

The experience was a great reminder that success is rarely achieved alone. Whether we're supporting our clients, our partners, or each other, we are at our best when we work as one team with a shared purpose.

An incredible day of challenge, connection, and accomplishment - and a reflection of the values that make HIBCO such a great place to be.
