🚢 Another Successful Project Completed by FASTEC Coatings!

FASTEC Coatings is proud to have successfully completed a colour change project on the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Earl Grey!

Working from both land and water, our team utilized a floating work platform and an aerial work platform to safely access the vessel and complete the project on schedule.

Projects like this showcase the skill, adaptability, and teamwork that FASTEC brings to every job. Whether working on land or at sea, our commitment remains the same: quality workmanship, safety, and getting the job done right.

And this project came with an added bonus: three new members joining the FASTEC team!

Welcome aboard, Wally, Huey, and Brandon! 👏

Judging by the smiles, they're already settling in! We're excited to have you on the team and look forward to many more successful projects together.

A great job by everyone involved!

Real voices can lead to real change.

October 10 is World Mental Health Day, and the 2026 theme, “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change,” recognizes something important: people who have experienced mental health challenges firsthand have perspectives worth hearing.

In industries where people are accustomed to solving problems, meeting deadlines, and getting the job done, it can sometimes be difficult to say, “I'm struggling.”

A strong workplace is one where people don't have to pretend everything is fine.
Listening without judgement, treating one another with respect, and knowing when to offer support can help create a workplace where people feel valued both for the work they do and for who they are.

At FASTEC Coatings, we believe looking after people is part of doing good work.
This World Mental Health Day, let's make room for real conversations and make sure the people having them know they're being heard.

Recognizing National Scaffolding Week

This National Scaffolding Week, FASTEC Coatings is proud to recognize the skilled scaffolding and access professionals we work alongside on job sites throughout our industry.

Whether we are completing surface preparation, applying protective coatings or carrying out specialized coating work, safe and reliable access is often essential to getting the job done.

We’re fortunate to work closely with our colleagues at Sancton Access, as well as many other talented scaffolding and access professionals on projects across the region. Their knowledge, planning and commitment to safety help create the working environments that allow our crews and many other trades to perform their work safely and effectively.

This week, we recognize our industry friends who build the access that helps the rest of us get to work.

Thank you for the important work you do.

Fire Prevention Week | October 4–10 🔥

Rechargeable batteries power many of the tools and devices we use every day — at work and at home — and using them safely matters.

Remember to use the correct charger, charge on a hard surface, unplug batteries once fully charged, and stop using any battery that is damaged, swollen or unusually hot.

Small safety habits can help prevent a serious fire.

Stay aware. Charge safely. Stay safe.

Today, FASTEC Coatings joins Canadians across the country in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities whose lives continue to be affected by their legacy.

Reconciliation begins with truth. It asks us to listen, to learn and to understand and to carry that understanding beyond September 30.

Today, we take time to reflect on the past, honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, and recognize the responsibility we all share in building relationships rooted in respect and understanding.

Today we remember. Every day, we continue to learn.

Every Child Matters.

Great work doesn’t happen by accident. It takes skill, experience and pride in the job.

On National Tradespeople Day, FASTEC Coatings is proud to recognize the skilled tradespeople whose expertise keeps our industries, infrastructure and communities strong.

From surface preparation and protective coatings to the many trades we work alongside on industrial and marine projects, these are careers built on knowledge, precision, safety and craftsmanship.

We’re especially proud of the skilled people on the FASTEC team who bring that commitment to every project, doing the work right and taking pride in the result.

To our team and tradespeople everywhere: your skills matter, your work matters, and today we celebrate you.

CONSTRUCTION SU***DE PREVENTION WEEK | SEPTEMBER 14–18, 2026

Construction Su***de Prevention Week puts an important spotlight on mental health and su***de prevention in our industry.

But looking out for each other shouldn't begin and end with an awareness week.

At FASTEC Coatings, we know that a strong crew depends on people having each other's backs. We do it when it comes to physical safety, and we need to do the same when it comes to mental health.

Check in. Pay attention. Listen without judgment. Speak up when you're concerned about someone — and reach out when you're the one who needs support.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do for a coworker is simply let them know they're not alone.

This week is a reminder. Looking out for each other is an everyday responsibility.

This National Payroll Week, we’re recognizing the person behind the numbers at FASTEC Coatings.

Payroll is one of those essential jobs that often happens quietly behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by every member of our team. It takes accuracy, organization, attention to detail and a commitment to making sure our people are taken care of.

When that responsibility rests with one person, it deserves some extra recognition.

Thank you, Morgan, for the care, reliability and dedication you bring to FASTEC and our team. The work you do matters, and we appreciate everything you do to keep us on track.

Happy National Payroll Week!
