PLANT OF THE WEEK- MR. MUSTARD SPIREA

Mr. Mustard Spirea is a compact ornamental shrub known for its bright golden-yellow foliage that holds its colour through the growing season. In late spring to early summer, it produces clusters of soft pink flowers that contrast beautifully against the yellow leaves.

It’s popular in landscaping because it:

* Adds bold colour to garden beds all season
* Stays compact and easy to maintain
* Attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies
* Works well as a border plant, accent shrub, or in mass plantings

Typical Features

* Height/Width: About 2–3 ft tall and wide
* Sun: Full sun for best colour
* Water: Moderate watering; drought tolerant once established

So the guys have named this patio the octopus, the shape looks a little weird still until all the plants go in later this week, but it still looks awesome. Many of you know Ryan and Cole from our crew over the last 4 years. Well this year they are leading their own projects this season. This one is Ryan’s site, or crew 1. Truth be told today both crews were on this site to speed the progress up a little. I’m not sure I can say it’s crew 1 or 2 or both as often everyone has a part in these builds.
