A before and after of a level 2 ev charger swap, for a new smart charger. When you have limited space and a recessed box with the wires inside sometimes you have to MacGyver up a solution. That is still to cec code standards, functional and looks good. Was happy how this turned out for a return customer.

Firstly always make sure your outdoor receptacles are gfci protected. Secondly a loose connection like this neutral wire causes heat and arcing which in turn can be a fire hazard. If you have tripping gfci receptacles or breakers get a licensed and insured electrician in to get to the real problem of why it's happening.

Some of our jobs from the last week. A customer with a hybrid plug in vehicle wanted a 240 volt receptacle for quicker charging. So we gave them a dedicated circuit and single receptacle, with a proper in use cover.

Installed a new gfci receptacle for a bidet that has all the bells and whistles.

Added some additional outdoor receptacles with gfci protection and in use covers.

Installed this generlink for a customer last week. With September statistically being the most active month for hurricanes. There's no time like the present to have that backup power option when it's most needed.

One of our jobs this morning was installing this whole home surge protector. And relabeling the panel directory as we had to move all the breakers down to make room for the 2 pole breaker for the surge protector. A good idea for any household to protect your expensive electronics, appliances, heat pumps etc. Contact us for any of your electrical needs.

Installed this optional battery powered or hardwired garage keypad with built in camera. With no available outlet we installed 2 duplex receptacles and managed to keep the drywall intact with some keen wire fishing in the finished wall.

This pool heat pump that was installed by the "pool company" didn't have a disconnect which is required by the Canadian Electrical Code. Some things should be left to Certified trades.
