This year's colour selection is Shades of Pink with White. We look forward to seeing all the beautiful pinks throughout the municipality this year!

Pink symbolizes love, nurture and compassion. It evokes feelings of comfort, warmth and hope.

The municipal hanging baskets will feature:
Supertunia Vista – Bubblegum
Supertunia Mini Vista – Hot Pink
Supertunia Vista – Silverberry
Vinca Vine

Need to add mulch to your garden beds this spring? There's plenty of mulch available for Lambton Shores residents at the compost site. No fancy colours, but lots of natural mulch ready for pick up!

Please note: you will need to bring a shovel and load the mulch into their truck or trailer.

Compost site hours: Wed and Sat from 9am to 2pm

Community hanging baskets will feature:
Supertunia Purple Velvet
Calibrachoa (Million Bells) - orange
Vinca vine

Some municipal gardens and planters will feature the above flowers, along with orange lantana, white petunias and a splash of lime green with sweet potato vines.

Communities in Bloom Canada has decided to continue with a colour theme for 2024. This year's colour selection is ORANGE and Lambton Shores Communities in Bloom will follow suit but add the colour PURPLE into the mix. We look forward to seeing all the beautiful shades of orange and purple throughout the municipality this year!

Orange was selected in honour of our Indigenous communities as we celebrate all the ways Plants Love You.

Purple has a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting spirits, calming the mind, enhanced feelings of spirituality and encouraging imagination and creativity.

Don’t miss out! Join Lakeshore Eco-Network at the native tree and plant sale on Saturday, May 4. The sale takes place at the Lambton Heritage Museum at 10035 Museum Road, Grand Bend, from 9:00 am to 12 noon.

One of our long-time and popular growers is Heavenly Earth. They will be bringing a wide range of native and Carolinian trees, shrubs, and woodland perennials (see list following). As is tradition with Lambton Shores Communities in Bloom, we encourage you to tidy up your community after the long dreary winter. If you see trash on the ground, please pick it up and place it in the closest trash receptacle.
