Today, we began seperating and transplanting some of the seedlings that the Fort Erie Aboriginal Head Start Preschool class planted back in April in to bigger pots!
We were able to pot seedlings of cherry tomatoes, carrots, flowers and sage to start!

Together the project participants and Auntie Plantie of Plant the Town have been assisting a community family with supplies and knowledge and the family has been working on preparing their garden together…..they have planted beans, baby cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and they are seeing some growth 🌱🥒🫑🍅

Aboriginal Head Start children have been working on some stepping stones to add to our community garden!! 🌛⭐️🐢💜

Yesterday, our Aboriginal Head Start kindergartners took the seedlings outside and planted them in our community garden.
We will continue to care for them as they grow. We have been using our plant journals to document the growth thus far. 🌱🌱 🌱🌱❤️

More seeds are sprouting in the JK classroom and our amazing staff and children have started their documentation of their observations…what an awesome learning experience for all!!

Our Aboriginal Head Start Junior Kinders started their indoor planting before March Break…. learning new Kanyen'kéha (Mohawk Language) words for the different seeds they chose to plant!! 💕🎉😊 yoyánere!! (Good Job) 💜
