Just finished cutting up some beautiful Butternut and Elm slabs.
​The Butternut (often called white walnut) has that gorgeous, warm golden tone and smooth grain that makes it an absolute dream to work with. And look at the incredible, wild character and cathedral grain popping out of these Elm pieces! The natural crotch figures and live edges on these are going to make some stunning, one-of-a-kind projects.
​These will be stickered and stacked to dry, but it’s never too early to start planning.
​Whether you’re thinking a custom charcuterie board, a unique live-edge bench, or a statement coffee table, these slabs have huge potential.

Freshly sliced pine cookies! 🌲🪚 There’s something so satisfying about seeing the rings and the natural shape of the wood. I’m already smelling the pine and thinking of all the project possibilities.
​Thinking about turning these into some rustic side tables or maybe some heavy-duty centerpieces. What would you make with these? 🛠️

Spent the afternoon out in the snow getting this beast processed. It’s a heavy one, but the internal "butterfly" grain made every minute of the haul worth it. Now the real work begins—drying and prepping.
