Tomorrow, we’re trading tools for the fairways at the York Care Centre & Foundation's annual Golf Fore Care tournament.

We’re proud to be among the sponsors of an event that has been making a meaningful impact since 2011. The net proceeds from tomorrow go directly toward enhancing the quality of life for the 218 residents at York Care Centre, supporting everything from enriching programs to the critical capital upgrades that help keep the facility a leader in long-term care.

Gerrit, Ryan, Jonathan and Connor will be out on the course connecting with partners across the healthcare sector. At QSA, being a single accountable partner means showing up for our community both when we’re maintaining mission-critical life safety systems and when we’re supporting the foundations that make those buildings feel like home.

With NB Nursing Home Week starting this Saturday June 7, we’re focused on the people and infrastructure that protect our region’s most vulnerable. If you see our team out on the green tomorrow, stop by and say hello.

Good luck to all the golfers tomorrow at Golf Fore Care!

Today marks the start of National Safety Month, and at QSA, we’re focusing on preventive safety and modernization across Atlantic Canada.

Many buildings meet code, but still have hidden gaps that can affect how they perform in a real emergency. This month, we’re offering a different kind of assessment: The $20 “How We’d Break Your System” Assessment.

Our certified technicians will walk your facility with one goal: identify the vulnerable points. We look beyond the stickers to find gaps in intrusion, access control, fire, PA, and healthcare life safety systems.

You’ll receive a professional, signed report with practical recommendations to support your 2026 capital planning.

The $20 fee also supports a community safety initiative we’ll be sharing more about soon.

At QSA, we don’t just install systems - we care about and stand behind the safety of the communities we serve.

Don’t wait for a crisis to reveal the gaps. Let’s find them together.

ADI Halifax Customer Show, wrapped.

Events like these give us the opportunity to spend time with manufacturers, partners, and others in the industry talking about what organizations are actually dealing with right now.

Over the last few years, we've noticed a shift in those conversations.

Less focus on individual products. More focus on reliability, integration, accountability, and making systems easier to manage day-to-day.

That's especially true for the organizations we support across Atlantic Canada. Whether it's healthcare, education, commercial facilities, or multi-residential buildings, the goal is usually the same: systems that work together properly and partners who stand behind them long after installation is complete.

Thanks to Jim Carr, the ADI team and all the vendors who took the time to connect. Looking forward to bringing a few new ideas and insights back to the organizations we support.

Ryan Masefield is heading to the ADI Global Distribution Halifax Customer Appreciation Event tomorrow, and it’s shaping up to be a great day.

From morning seminars to a hands-on demos and displays, it’s a great opportunity to stay current with the latest in life safety and security. Even better, it brings together a strong group of supplier partners and industry peers, includingTP-Link, Kantech, Ajax Systems and Hanwha Vision.

If you’re attending, be sure to connect with Ryan throughout the day - or at the Ajax Systems sponsored cocktail hour and Jack Astor’s social. Looking forward to the conversations, the technology, and the insights he’ll be bringing back to the QSA team.

From the first service call to the final outdoor installation, technical rigor is our baseline.

A successful mission‑critical system starts long before a technician arrives on‑site. It begins with Jamie Carpenter making sure the right inventory is ready for the job and Connor Williams coordinating complex installs across Atlantic Canada. It continues with our certified technicians configuring and testing hardware to make sure it stands up and delivers what it's supposed to.

Whether we’re installing a Inc perimeter protection system on an outdoor site or an Ajax Systems intrusion solution for an office, one thing doesn’t change: accountability. We don’t just “install gear”- we build, test, and maintain the lifelines of your building so you can focus on your operations, not your hardware.

Deadline reminder: There are only 10 days left in May. Our free signed security audits are available until May 31st. These reviews give you a code‑aligned compliance checklist and a clear roadmap for your 2026 capital planning. Don’t leave your building’s safety to guesswork.

A lot of the work happens before our team ever steps onto a site.

Last week, the team was configuring and testing our Ascom nurse call demo board, along with pre-configuring and testing Ubiquiti Inc equipment before deployment.

One thing we’ve learned over the years: people should be able to see and interact with systems before they’re installed. That’s why we spend time building out live demo environments and testing equipment in-house first - not just to validate the hardware, but to make sure everything works the way it should in the field.

For mission-critical environments like hospitals, schools, and long-term care facilities, the difference is often in the details. Good configuration and proper testing lead to smoother installs, fewer surprises, and systems that operate quietly in the background the way they’re supposed to.

Whether it’s access control, security, nurse call, or firesystems, we believe in getting it right before it ever reaches the building.

Through the end of May, we’re also offering complimentary site reviews for organizations evaluating future security, access, or life safety upgrades.

Long weekends can bring a reality check for development sites.

When off-hours vulnerabilities show up, the cost of passive security becomes clear. At QSA, we help sites move beyond passive recording with proactive deterrence that can respond the moment a perimeter is breached - helping stop incidents before the damage is done.

Whether it’s a long-term care facility or a busy development site, the goal is the same: accountability. You need a partner who doesn’t just sell equipment, but supports the security of your property from design through 24/7 service.

This month, we’re also offering a free site assessment to help identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen protection.

If you’re taking a closer look at your site’s vulnerabilities this week, let’s talk about a more proactive approach.

What a great week at the 2026 NB Association of Nursing Homes / Association des foyers de soins du N.-B. AGM and Conference!

We loved getting the chance to connect with so many people in the long-term care sector and share how QSA helps bring nurse call, fire, and security together under one accountable partner, alongside Ascom’s world-class nurse call and mobile solutions that support better communication and care.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth #7, played Bingo, and came by to chat with the team. Congrats again to our ticket winner, and a big thank you to NBANH for putting on such a fantastic conference.
