✨ Deck Build Breakdown ✨

This homeowner loved the size and layout of their existing deck, but the deck-block foundation meant constant shifting through the freeze-and-thaw cycle.

We rebuilt the space on Postech screw piles installed below the frost line, creating a stronger and more dependable foundation. The finished deck features brown pressure-treated lumber, picture-framed decking, a waterproof membrane, two staircases for easy yard access, and a self-closing gate for pets and little ones.

Same layout they loved, now built for lasting stability. 🛠️🏡

Meet the owners behind Benchmark Building & Renovations. 👋🔨

Benchmark was founded in 2017 by Mark after years of working as a Red Seal carpenter in the residential construction industry across multiple countries. In 2018, his brother Kent joined the team, bringing his business background from the University of New Brunswick.

Together, they’ve built Benchmark around quality craftsmanship, a great customer experience, and doing things the right way. Proudly serving homeowners throughout Fredericton, Halifax, and the surrounding areas.

The results are here! 🔨🏡

The original deck was supported by deck blocks, making it vulnerable to shifting through New Brunswick’s freeze-and-thaw cycles. The homeowners loved the existing size and layout, so we rebuilt it with a stronger foundation and fresh materials.

✅ Postech screw piles installed below the frost line
✅ Brown pressure-treated lumber
✅ Picture-framed decking
✅ Waterproof membrane
✅ Two staircases for easy yard access
✅ Self-closing gates for pets and little ones

Same layout, completely upgraded from the ground up.
