Summer of 2025 reflection as this was my first summer on my own doing my little business. It took no thought to know I was ready to do this and I jumped with both feet in!

So grateful for everyone who gave me the opportunity to do some magic to their yard. This wasn’t even all of the projects, just the ones I remembered to take pictures of!🤣📸

Hi everyone!

I am looking forward to starting back up my summer gardening business. This will be my second summer doing this and I am so grateful to have come in contact with many lovely clients who let me transform their yards. I will be beginning in May when the sun starts shining!

I have been doing some thinking and I will be putting forth some changes with many factors being integrated within for this upcoming summer season…

These factors are:

☀️Price rates with consideration of
3yrs of valued knowledge I have
gained from working with the city
☀️Time dedication
☀️Energy (especially w/ Freddy’s warm
weather!)

I have done my homework and have figured out what appropriate prices are starting out with smaller jobs with these factors, therefore moving forward I will be charging $35/hr as a standard rate for jobs I complete by the hour (not all projects, they vary). If needed be, I can provide 3+ references from supervisors with Parks & Trees as well as online sources if there are any uncertainties about what appropriate costs are.

Last summer, I noticed I was spending a great deal of time on bigger projects and set my prices very low as I just started out on my own. In saying this, it’s important to remember the amount of effort, time, tools, and expertise I am putting into my work to give you a valued outcome that you are proud of - which takes a lot of energy (A LOT of sweat lol! (but I love it!). I work regardless of the weather (unless it’s pouring) and I work on very hot sunny days so please keep in mind.

Fall Clean up for B.D!🍂🍃🍁 It is super important to give your plant friends a haircut in the fall! this promotes new growth and health, keeping your plants ready for a season restart!!!And no need to worry…they grow back so they are never really gone😌

Last minute call for Lori & I, we took on a huge project just in time for the property to be listed by Trevor Drisdelle, it was tedious but the owners were grateful and super happy with how it turned out!

And thank you to Lori Forget (my amazing supervisor with the city) for giving me a hand at the last minute. Huuuuge facelift for this property! This took us 8 hours to complete.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to let everyone know that with fall approaching, my schedule will be getting busier, therefore my availability will be limited in regards to wrapping up the summer season of maintenance to gardens.

BUT! I am able to spare time to do fall season yard work. Meaning, light work such as leaf raking, cutting down branches/trimming bushes, and a cut down of lillies, etc. can still be done! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if any work needs to be done to make your yard still look great as the season changes. I will provide leaf bags and I have all of my own equipment that is needed. Completed in July! I’m very fortunate that I have the skills to be able to brighten up some nice yards that have potential. I completed this job for K in 2 hours.

In this post you see a flower bed that was transformed with just a little TLC! weeding, edging, shearing and clean up!

I have received many questions about pricing. My standard hourly rate is $35/hr, though not all projects are charged hourly. Some jobs are priced by project type, considering time, services, and complexity.

Example of varying hourly rate: for smaller projects requiring basic weeding, edging, minimal pruning, and light yard cleanup, the rate is $35/hr. Projects that include more complex tasks—such as mulching, bush or hedge trimming, flower planting, mowing, tarping, or similar services—may increase the hourly rate due to added time, skill, and effort.

I provide my own leaf bags for cleanup. Costs reflect a portion of what I pay (approximately $5 per pack, taxes included) so I can continue supplying them. Please note: I do not dispose of leaf bags or yard waste. As a small local business owner without a proper disposal vehicle, bags must be left curbside for the city’s monthly pickup.

I supply my own tools and typically do not use client tools unless discussed beforehand if they would like certain jobs completed.

I prefer projects within Fredericton, but may accept jobs outside city limits (e.g., Oromocto). Mileage may be added to the total cost.

This is a light gardening business only. I cannot provide extensive or complex work such as large hedge or tree trimming.

This is a small, locally run business operated solely by me. I also work full-time with Parks & Trees (City of Fredericton) during this time, and I do my best to plan and accommodate clients. I ask for flexibility and understanding, as unexpected changes or emergencies can occur.

AMAZING transformation. In this photo you see work such as edging, shearing, shrub planting, mulching, weeding and overall tidying up being done! Not pictured is three others bushes I sheared as well, along with clean up! all done within this time frame.

I am safe to say that S & E loved their property after I was finished. This project took 6 hours to complete!
