Save the Bats
We have a proven system for bats. We do colony relocation, not just exclusion. Yes, we get them out of the structure but they are protected so there is a legal process. I begin sealing the structure but leave all entrances open to allow passage for the mothers to enter and nurse,(nursing starts late may-June). We then erect a custom built bat box that is built for Northern climate. We bait the box with a gland lure and place it in an area where it will receive a lot of sun. The bats start using it to perch and rest when they feed at night, this normalizes it to them. Late season when the young have fledged, (we monitor colonies over the season) we are able to place one way doors on the entry points into your structure. The bats leave and can not return through the one way doors and move to the colony box. The doors are removed and the remaining entry points sealed. Only the females and young use the box as males generally gather in cooler areas in small groups, they will hang out in the cedars or other cover. The colony survives and thrives and you enjoy natural insect control while promoting bat health and your health having them out of the structure, guaranteed! Our boxes have a 100% occupancy rate and we will NOT do exclusion work unless the client agrees to use our colony box or one that we approve of.
