I'd like to extend a huge thanks to Dave Fitzgerald and his teammates with FortisBC for putting in long days and long nights working hard to get our lights back on! Many people don't understand what it takes to keep our infrastructure up and running with community safety being paramount, but these guys are out there giving us their best! Thanks team!! 👍🏼

Last night the Christina Lake Welcome Center got a much needed, high efficiency LED lighting upgrade! Out with the old, nasty fluorescent fixtures, and in with the modern and unique linear fixtures with integrated up-lighting to highlight the beautiful wood ceilings!

PSA: for those with permanent RV sites! Please remember that your power outlet needs annual cleaning and inspection. Plugs that don't get pulled out and re-installed from time to time are subject to corrosion and will eventually burn up to some extent. We saw this beauty over the weekend! Thankfully it was contained to just the box and plug. Also, avoid using RV plug adapters and/or extension cords whenever possible, as they have been linked to many problems as well. These devices often come with labels directing "Temporary use only" for good reason.
