Have you heard about the new National Heat Pump Rebate? 🔥❄️

The Government of Canada has announced a new $2 billion program to help more homeowners install eligible cold-climate electric heat pumps.

Depending on household income and eligibility, homeowners may be able to receive up to $10,000, while other eligible homeowners may qualify for up to $2,000.

We are excited to learn more as the program details are finalized. There are still some important questions for homeowners in our region, including how the program will apply in Alberta and whether systems that use a gas furnace for backup heat will qualify.

Those details matter in our climate, so we will be watching closely as more information becomes available.

The full online application portal is expected to launch in early 2027.

Throwback Thursday

Throwing it back to the installation of this 14-ton Yanmar VRF heat pump at Nitehawk Ski Hill!

Originally brought in to replace four heat/cool through-the-wall units, this system was designed to serve four zones with additional capacity for future HVAC upgrades.

Fast forward to today—the installation is complete, and the system is up and running! Another project we’re proud to see delivering reliable heating and cooling through Northern Alberta conditions.
