Ty's Custom Seeding & Landscaping Landscape company serving Grande Prairie and area Ty's Custom Seeding is a family owned and operated landscape business servicing the Peace Region.

Our inception in 2017 was as a result of our inability to find a company willing to seed our small acreage for a reasonable price. There was a niche in the Peace Country landscape world that was being overlooked and this is where we found our place. In the first couple of years we developed a profound knowledge of large area residential seed bed preparation and application. As our client base grew

we diversified with it expanding our services to include aesthetic landscaping. In 2018 we began to offer urban lawn installation, hardscape, garden beds and tree installation to better fit the needs of our community. We make it our priority to bring our client's visions to life and provide results that we are proud to showcase. Fun fact about hydroseeders. They are actually herd animals and prefer the company of a second unit. With a lighter footprint and 4x4 we can now access more complex terrain.

Hydroseed for the win! 4 weeks old, mowed twice and ready for use. At this stage you tend to see a variance in the green which is your new grass asking for some fertilizer. Best keep that mower full of gas!

Most of the time we can provide hydroseed and irrigation for a similar cost of just our sod installation. The results of that combination speak for themselves.

Why is hydroseed more effective than drill or broadcast seeding? There are many different reasons however one of the biggest is the tackifiers used to lock both the seed and soil into place. Here is a 1 month time lapse of a site that was hit with 8" of rainfall. Minimal seed and soil displacement leading to a uniform stand of grass!

Growing grass in the wild is extremely difficult and can be stressful. We do have a method to our madness, seeing the before and after always makes me smile. This site took approximately 60 days and 68 000 gallons of manual watering! With more time and care this site should fill in nicely!
