One of the biggest obstacles in commercial construction is the gap between design and ex*****on.
You approve drawings from one team, then hand them to another. By the time it reaches the field, something's been lost in translation. At HWD, we eliminated that gap. Our team handles the design and the build. Same people, same communication, start to finish. It makes the whole process smoother for our clients. And it shows in the finished product.

Spent Saturday at the Grande Prairie Construction Association golf tournament, best weather of the year so far. Thank you to the golfers and sponsors who were there and contributed to a near sell out this year to help us continue to advocate for Construction trades in and around Grande Prairie.

The Northwestern Polytechnic has really spent a great deal of time and money to increase and upgrade their facilities for trades training right here in Grande Prairie. They have just released their fall training schedule for a number programs including carpentry and electrician. Check out the website link below for upcoming intakes and registration details.

HWD Construction Ltd. was part of a young women in trades event that was coordinated through Careers Next Generation. A group of 20 young women toured our millwork shop and had some hands-on-experience on a woodworking project, then had an opportunity to tour the new Rising Above Facility we are finishing at the and of May. They then had an opportunity to visit the NWP and Peace Farm Power.

Thankyou to Dale and Terri from Careers Next Generation for organizing this, we had a lot of fun!
