It all started when...

It all started when I was looking for a high school Grade 12 co-op and I stumbled upon a video of a guy I knew installing a stair railing. I asked him if he would be interested taking on a co-op kid. He took me under his wing and showed me the ways of a craftsman, how to cut sand, pare, and join wood. I guess I liked the raw fingertips and the slivered hands because years later I am still at it.

Installing rails offers a lot of variety. Most jobs take about one day so that brings me to 5 new houses a week, installing 5 new styles of railing, posts, and spindles. Most of my work comes from Amber Stairs & Railings who makes the material and organizes the jobs then sends me to customize the material to fit each house specifically.
