We are so grateful to everyone who purchased pumpkins this year and allowed us to do this, we could not have done it without our wonderful customers. So much to be thankful for!

Joan and Bill Veidt were dedicated supporters of our library for years, and that clearly became a family tradition! Pictured here is their granddaughter, Chelsea, and great grandchildren, Luke and Emma, making a donation to the library in memory of Joan and Bill, with proceeds from the recent pumpkin sales at TC Ranch. Receiving the gift are board member Carolyn Gerk and programmer Danielle Diesel. We are so thankful for the thoughtful donation. 🎃📚🚜

With frost warnings abound this is good time to remind everyone - please DO NOT CAN tomatoes if they froze on the vine (or are picked from a dead vine even if it dies another way). The acidity is too low to can them safely so there is an increased risk of botulism. If the tomatoes are still usable, please feel free to eat them fresh, cooked into recipes, or store them longer-term frozen but keep them out of the canner! If the tomatoes froze after they were already picked (or you picked a bunch, froze them and want to can them later) that's fine - it's the freezing while it's on the vine that effects the acidity too much to be considered safe.

We love to see our pumpkins on display! We are out of corn bundles but we still have a few pumpkins left.
