I am devastated to hear of the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot while speaking in Utah. Violence must never be a response to political disagreement. This horrific act is not only heartbreaking for his family and friends, but also for the many young people who witnessed it and will carry the weight of that moment.
No matter our political views, we should all be able to agree that every life has value. Behind every political voice is a human being with loved ones, dreams, and dignity. When that is taken from them, we all lose.
Now is a time to pause, reflect, and learn to disagree without dehumanizing, and to debate without destroying. Let this tragedy remind us that our shared humanity is greater than our divisions.
Please keep Charlie Kirk’s family, friends, and all those affected in your prayers. May this loss move us to reject hate and choose a path of peace, understanding, and respect.
