It's right before the season starts and we are all getting the itch to start!! Some of us dont know where to start or what is safe to do now, so let's get into it!

1. We DONT want to start raking our lawns until we hit a consistent above 0 temperatures. Many of us want to clean our yard up but there are many critters still resting until its warm enough to come up. INSTEAD, pick up fallen branches, sticks, debris and prep the lawn for easy cleanup when it comes time.

2. START YOUR SEEDS! If you like to watch the process of your plants growing start your seeds now! Some seeds could have been started in February. Remember indirect sunlight, moist soil but not drowning wet, and rotate your pots for strength of stock, and a warm spot.

3. Prepare your garden beds! Start adding SMART SOILS to top up your nutrients in your soil, turn the old soil over and let rest until its time to plant!

4. Prune your trees and shrubs before new growth hits! Avoid pruning your spring flowering shrubs like lilac or forsythia.

5. Plan your garden beds! What plant is going where. Sun map your beds and plan accordingly!

6. Now is the time to plant your bulbs!
