Your roof valley handles some of the heaviest water flow on your roof — so the style matters.
🔹 Closed Valley: Shingles cover the valley for a clean, seamless look. Popular and budget-friendly, but can wear faster in harsh weather if not installed properly.
🔹 Open Valley: Features exposed metal in the valley to channel water and snow more efficiently. Longer-lasting, easier drainage, and often preferred in snowy climates.
In climates with heavy rain, snow, or freeze/thaw cycles, open valleys are often the better long-term investment.
