🚨JonesCo is growing, and we are looking for a reliable, experienced Full-Time Carpenter to join our crew. We specialize exclusively in new residential construction: custom homes, detached garages, and backyard suites within HRM. If you’ve got the framing and finish skills, the tools, and a great attitude, we want to hear from you.
🛠What You’ll Do
• Framing & Structural: Layout, build, and troubleshoot walls and roof systems.
• Exterior Finishes: Install windows, exterior doors, house wrap, and siding/trim to get structures weather-tight.
• Interior Finish Work: Put the final touches on our builds, including hanging interior doors and running trim/baseboards.
• Plans & Layout: Read and interpret construction drawings to execute precise layouts, ensuring everything is square, plumb, and true from day one.
• Site Management: Maintain clean, safe, and productive job sites.
🛠What We Are Looking For
• Experience: 3+ years of professional carpentry experience, with a heavy emphasis on residential new construction and framing.
• Skills: Proficient with all standard framing and finish hand/power tools. Strong layout skills are a massive plus.
• Reliability: A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to travel to our various build sites across HRM
• Gear: Your own personal hand tools, tool belt, and proper PPE. (Major power tools and equipment provided).
• Attitude: Someone who takes pride in their work, respects the craft, and works well both independently and as part of a crew.
• Physical: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably in seasonal outdoor weather conditions.
