Our design for an Atlantic Canada backyard granny suite for the CMHC Housing Catalogue. A garden pavilion 🌳🌳 with a compact footprint, a low roof profile to the front and a surprise dormer at the back. The interior washroom and service entry supports a loft bedroom on the second floor with an extra bedroom on ground floor. Gentle density! ♥️

Wood is a carbon store- the only structural material that can do this! And here, eastern cedar is the cladding, spruce for the structure, hemlock for the interiors. 🌈…
