Not every floor starts out ready for what comes next! This project at RioCan Burlington needed some serious levelling before anything else could happen, so our crew got to work.

They started by grinding the existing concrete to strip off any old coatings and contaminants, while creating the surface profile needed for proper adhesion. Once the surface was prepped, our crew placed ARDEX Americas self-levelling underlayment to correct the elevation across the space. Self-levellers flow and settle on their own, filling in low areas and producing a flat, uniform finish that a standard concrete pour simply can't match! 👀 ✨

There's really no good way to deliver this update. And unfortunately, there's no NASA training program that prepares you for an Ontario job site in August. 😰

When you're managing a multi-phase project for a healthcare facility, continuity matters! After completing the concrete curbs and slabs for the medical freezer facility at UPS Healthcare, our team came back to handle the spray foam insulation for this project.

This means that instead of sourcing, vetting, and coordinating separate companies for concrete and spray foam services, the client was able to make one call to keep the whole project moving under a single point of contact.

The judges were tough, but (mostly) fair. A few deductions were made for showboating with the concrete saw, but overall, it was a very strong routine. 🏆🥇
