Another backyard transformation is in the books!

This townhome backyard in Dundas was completely rebuilt from the ground up to create a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor space designed to last for years.

We properly regraded with a 2% slope away from the home for effective drainage.

We installed a high-performance base system featuring GATOR BASE® foundation panels with a proprietary locking edge restraint system—providing exceptional stability while reducing excavation, improving drainage, and creating a long-lasting foundation for pedestrian applications.

We finished with premium Oaks Rialto Champagne pavers, complemented by an Onyx Black border, matching stone step, and a professional polymeric sand installation for a clean, durable finish.

To complete the space, we installed Oaks Fronterra garden curbs to create clean, defined planting beds before finishing the remaining areas with fresh sod for a polished, finished appearance.

OLD. WORN. OUTDATED.

PROFESSIONALLY REIMAGINED.

As part of an ongoing interior renovation project, this tired staircase was transformed into a feature that complements the home's existing luxury vinyl plank flooring.

The original staircase showed years of wear, an outdated painted finish, and was missing key finishing details, including the base cap. Rather than replacing it, we restored and upgraded it through meticulous preparation, custom stain development, precision colour matching, and the installation of new finish trim.

To ensure a seamless transition throughout the home, multiple custom stain samples were created and refined until the perfect colour match was achieved. The result is a staircase that looks as though it was designed alongside the new flooring from the very beginning.

Washroom #1 of 2 – Progress Update

After completion of the homes structural repair we are on to the first of two washroom renovations for these wonderful clients.

So far, we've completed the rough framing, and self levelled the subfloor. We've also now installed the Schluter® DITRA-HEAT system throughout the floor area, providing uncoupling, crack isolation, and the foundation for a warm, comfortable finished floor. Careful planning and layout ensure even heat distribution while accommodating the custom shower, vanity, toilet, and floor vent locations.

This project involves a complete transformation from the framing stage up, including new plumbing, floor preparation, waterproofing, tile installation, and finish work.

The work you don't see is often the most important. Investing time in proper preparation and quality materials helps ensure a bathroom that not only looks great but performs for years to come, we are never afraid to show this stage while some keep hid hidden!

This front porch in Waterdown had edge deterioration, concrete spalling, and a failing railing system caused by years of freeze/thaw exposure and water pe*******on.

Instead of a cosmetic patch, this project was approached as a full reinforced restoration.

Scope of work included:

• Removal of all loose and compromised concrete
• Rebuilding failed stair and landing edges
• Mechanical surface preparation of existing slab
• Bonding agent application for proper adhesion
• Installation of reinforcement throughout the landing and stairs
• 2” reinforced bonded concrete overlay system
• Reformed stair geometry for cleaner lines and consistency
• New exposed aggregate finish on stairs and landing
• Installation of new modern black Century Aluminum railings with concrete anchors
• Concrete walkway slab lifting to bring the bottom step into Code Compliance
• Final sealing and cleanup

A lot of exterior concrete failures start at railing posts and exposed edges where water enters, freezes, expands, and slowly breaks the concrete apart over time — especially in Canadian winters.

The goal with this project was not just improving appearance, but rebuilding the system properly while modernizing the entire front entry.

We were brought into this project after another contractor was unable to complete the renovation.

The original scope includes two bathroom renovations and a stair remodel, but after reviewing the existing conditions on site, it became clear that structural repairs would need to be addressed before the renovation could move forward properly.

Inside the crawlspace, we identified foundation settlement along with previous structural modifications that were not adequately supported.

Working alongside structural engineers, we developed a remediation plan to stabilize the affected areas and restore proper load support throughout the space.

The structural scope included:
✔ targeted underpinning
✔ new reinforced pad footings
✔ engineered beam and column installation
✔ proper load transfer to stabilized bearing points

With the structural work now complete, we’re ready to move into the reconstruction phase and begin the bathroom renovations for these clients.

Projects like this are a good reminder that successful renovations often depend on addressing the underlying structure first — not just the finished surfaces.

The difference between getting it done… and getting it done right can cost—or save—you thousands.

Just yesterday we were contacted by one of our previous prospective clients, again, about hiring someone else who was " more competitive".

Often, I hear from homeowners who:
• Paid a deposit and got ghosted
• Hired the cheapest quote and ended up redoing the entire job
• Are now dealing with unsafe or subpar work

Here’s the reality most people learn the hard way: price is not the most important factor.

Understanding all contractors carry different operation costs it is understandable to be some variation in pricing but, when a price is significantly lower, something is usually missing.

My uncle who has owned a successful Metal Roofing company for 30 years always told me, "Materials cost what they cost so if the price is cheaper its coming off the workmanship"

TURNING EMPTY WALLS INTO STATEMENT FEATURES.

What started as one custom stone feature wall quickly turned into two. After completing the first installation, the client brought us back to transform a second space — a basement gym finished with the same level of precision, detail, and architectural consistency.

Every aspect of these installations was planned with intention: balanced stone variation, seamless transitions, tight joints, clean lines, and precise layout control to create a finish that feels cohesive from every angle.

A major detail in this project was the integration of a custom Fittes flush vent system with a matched stone inlay. Instead of interrupting the wall with a standard plastic grille, the vent was carefully built directly into the stonework to maintain clean visual flow while preserving full airflow and accessibility.

It’s a small detail most overlook — but details like this are what separate basic installations from true finished architectural features.
