To the residents of Ward 7, my family, friends, volunteers, campaign team, and everyone who believed in my vision, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support through my eight-year service as Ward 7 Councillor and through my campaign.
Although the outcome is not what we had hoped for, I accept the results with a heart full of gratitude, pride, and respect for the democratic process.
I wholeheartedly wish Mr. Daly success as he embraces the privilege and responsibility of representing the people of Ward 7. I encourage him to serve with kindness, integrity, compassion, fairness, and a genuine commitment to the needs of our community.
This campaign was - similar to my two terms as councillor - rooted in listening to people, sharing ideas, building relationships, and working toward a stronger, safer, and more vibrant Ward 7. Every conversation and encouraging word with you reminded me why serving our community matters so much.
To those who voted for me, please know that your support didn’t go unnoticed, and I’m deeply sorry for the disappointment we share now.
To those who supported another candidate, I respect your choice because democracy gives every voice the right to be heard.
I remain hopeful for the future of Ward 7 and encourage everyone to continue your engagement in shaping its future. While an election may determine who holds office, it doesn’t determine who can make a difference. And we must always remember we are stronger together.
God bless you all, and God bless Ward 7.
