All this rain + the winter melt = a lot of water with nowhere to go.

With the snow melting and heavy rainfall this week, it’s common to see pooling water around driveways, yards, and near your home. When the ground is still frozen underneath, that water can’t absorb properly — which means it often finds its way toward your foundation or basement.

A few quick things to check:
✔️ Make sure downspouts are directing water away from your home
✔️ Clear any debris from nearby drains
✔️ Keep an eye on low spots where water is pooling

If you notice water heading where it shouldn’t, it’s always best to address it early before it turns into a bigger problem.
