Just a quick little job replacing an outside light fixture, fixing two outside receptacles that would fail every year, replacing 4 - 4 foot fluorescent fixtures in the basement with 4 flush mount LED fixtures and doing a bit of re-wiring / rerouting.

The box for the outside light was sitting away from the house, which led to premature failure of the previous fixture due to water intrusion. We had to add the j-block to recess the box and give the new light a solid, water tight base to mount to (yes we do that as well when necessary!).

The boxes for the two outside receptacles were also protruding beyond the siding and fitted with improper covers-again allowing water intrusion and leading to premature failure of the receptacles. We resolved the issue by resetting the boxes into the siding, and finished the job off with weather rated ground fault receptacles, complete with while-in-use covers.

What started as a kitchen reno turned into a clean up / re-wire of the basement electrical as well as a panel swap, relocation of the laundry outlets, a few new dedicated circuits for future, new bathroom electrical and 26 potlights throughout.

This was a complete re-wire of the main level lights in this two storey war home.

We received a call to remove an old damaged wire and to clean up a ceiling box in the same bathroom that had some wire with crumbling insulation. Upon tracing the wiring through the home to determine where was and acceptable box to tie into, we discovered that every ceiling box on the main level of the home needed to be addressed due to the same crumbling insulation. We sat down with the client and made a plan to pull new wiring from the panel in the basement and all throughout the main level ceilings to re-feed all of the lights/switches.
