Very excited to hear from our friends at ARCAN Construction Ltd. That the onsite team has confirmed the homes for Housing NWT have reached Ulukhaktok and are docked ready for offload. They have travelled approximately 2400km via barge from Hay River - an incredible journey! Now the next step of landing and commissioning begins. “Built in the North for the North”

Thank you to Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce and Hay River Chamber of Commerce for the incredible opportunity to bring people from across the NWT and beyond during the 2026 Trade Show Mission to our facility in Hay River. It was a great day showcasing all of the incredible businesses, services and vendors that Hay River has to offer. We are proud to be Northern owned and operated and look forward to all the exciting things to come! Also thank you to our crew members and fellow trades teams who stepped up to get us ready to have a large group attend our site and present the amazing work we do with passion and pride!

Ship out day is one of our favorite days! 10 homes loaded and ready to head up the Mackenzie to the community of Ulukhaktok for Housing NWT. a huge thank you to the team at METCAN, Advance Electric and Taylor & Company to meet the schedule for us to work with GNWT Infrastructure Marine Transport Services and their amazing team loading the barges. Also as always we could not get these homes to communities with out the hard work and expertise of Prestige Hauling 2024 Ltd who is always up for whatever challenges the North brings! Built in partnership with ARCAN Construction Ltd.

An exciting milestone achieved by our teams- ship out day is a great day. Another safe and successful move done with Prestige Hauling 2024 Ltd

Project milestone in Behchokǫ̀ 🚛🏠

Five new modular housing units have now arrived in the community after being manufactured in Hay River and transported north for on-site assembly.

This project included moving a full three-bedroom home up the highway from Hay River, across both the Deh Cho Bridge and the Frank Channel Bridge, before arriving in the community of Rae on Saturday, April 18.

Modular construction helps shorten timelines, manage costs, and deliver durable homes built for northern conditions.
