We’re proud to share that Greystone has achieved COR® Certification - a nationally recognized standard for health and safety in the construction industry 🦺

COR® (Certificate of Recognition) is awarded to companies that demonstrate a fully developed, implemented, and audited health and safety management system. Achieving certification requires a comprehensive review of company policies, procedures, training programs, hazard assessments, incident response planning, and ongoing safety practices - all verified through a rigorous external audit.

For our team, this certification reflects the work we put in every day to create safe, accountable job sites. It means our systems are in place to identify risks, prevent incidents, and ensure that everyone on our projects - from our own team to subcontractors and partners - goes home safe at the end of the day.

Greystone is proud to partner with the District Municipality of Muskoka and Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North to help deliver safe, attainable, and sustainable housing on the former Bracebridge Memorial Arena lands.

Projects like this show what’s possible when municipalities and builders work together to address the housing crisis head-on. We’re ready to get to work. 🏗️🏡

The Town of Bracebridge is taking a significant step forward in delivering new affordable housing in the downtown core. Following today’s Council ratification, the redevelopment of the former Memorial Arena site will advance to the next stage of negotiations, bringing forward a proposal that could deliver approximately 90 to 108 new residential rental units, including a minimum 25% affordable housing component in each building.

The recommended proposal includes:
➡️ Two multi-unit residential buildings;
➡️ Approximately 90 to 108 total residential units (subject to planning approvals);
➡️ A minimum of 25% affordable units in each building;
➡️ Secured affordability terms through agreement;
➡️ Accessible and barrier-free units exceeding minimum standards; and
➡️ Potential inclusion of children’s programming space and neighbourhood enhancements.

This cooperative model enables the Town to leverage municipal land to support affordable housing delivery while limiting long-term financial exposure.

With Council’s ratification, staff are now authorized to enter into negotiations and finalize definitive agreements with the preferred proponent.

We’re proud to share that our Port Carling EMS Station (Muskoka Paramedic Services – Station 3) is now an ICF Builder Awards nominee - and we’d be honoured to have your support!

This purpose-built EMS facility was designed to support the long-term health, safety, and resilience of the Muskoka community. As a designated post-disaster facility, the station is engineered to remain fully operational during emergency events, ensuring paramedics can respond when they’re needed most.

Inside, the station supports the full scope of modern emergency response, including capacity for four ambulances, a dedicated wash bay, advanced training spaces, an Alternate EOC-capable Meeting/Training Room, and a Simulation Control Room.

Sustainability and comfort were central to the design. With energy-efficient systems, responsible material choices, and future-focused building practices, the station is proudly Net Zero Ready, aligning with the District of Muskoka’s environmental goals while creating a resilient home base for frontline teams 🤝
