About The Company:
An established, local contractor in the Barrie and Innisfil area is looking to hire a young ambitious person looking to grow into a well trained and experienced HVAC-R Technician.
Applicants should be able to:
⦁ Assess the condition of HVAC systems and equipment at the customer’s site to determine if the equipment is in safe working order
⦁ Read and interpret error codes on a variety of equipment; determine/recommend course of action
⦁ Prepare work order with recommendations to present to customer
⦁ Perform inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment with care and detect any areas in need of further servicing
⦁ Test equipment when maintenance is complete to ensure no issues
⦁ Help to install residential and commercial HVAC equipment and commission. Specifically, furnace, ac, water heater, tankless water heater, fireplaces, roof top units
⦁ Manage truck inventory and keep tools and truck organized and clean
⦁ Safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials such as propane, refrigerants, other compressed cylinders, and cleaning solutions
⦁ Sheet metal and ductwork installation
⦁ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
⦁ Cut and install gas piping, test for leaks and follow safety measures.
⦁ Test and replace defective equipment or components
⦁ Maintain all company provided equipment
⦁ Other duties as assigned by the Manager
Applicants Must:
⦁ Must possess a Gas 3 Technician License, Gas 2 Technician License preferred.
⦁ Must be comfortable driving cargo vans with 16’ trailer for Installs when a trailer is required.
⦁ Must have clean driving record with valid/current driver’s license
⦁ Must be observant of their surroundings, detail oriented, self-sufficient, analytical and posses problem-solving skills
⦁ Must be able to work independently and be able to communicate with customers and team members
⦁ Must be able to measure and mark reference points, experienced with use of tools required
⦁ Dedicated to getting the job done, the right way, the first time and striving for improvement.
⦁ Strong customer service focus
⦁ Willing to travel throughout Simcoe County, company vehicle provided, and company travel paid
⦁ Prepare accurate and timely work reports and time sheets
⦁ Follow all applicable codes and regulations
