So we orginally started this job in early 2023 ! After meeting with home owners discussing options for two sets of stairs that were passed by the town of gravenhurst ! That never should have passed, way ti narrow! We came up with couple suggestions ! Mainly a way to give them a larger opening in floor and keeping stairs to meet current code at time of build ! The existing were very narrow however they were very nice in every other aspect just did not meet their needs ! So after removing those stairs early august, I can honestly say after many visits many flaws and repairs, being held up by very busy sub trades welders wood machine shop etc . We can say we are very much complete, 1/4" Wall single mono stringers. Solid 2" red-oak treads and railings ! finishes in OSMO wood wax with three coats of Poly x protection this the cleanest and finest and most fun stairs we have ever completed.
