βœ¨πŸ‚ Autumnal Offerings πŸ‚βœ¨

Among the turning colors of the leaves and the cool crisping of the air, some cozy autumnal offerings find their way to you.

I have a couple of events coming up in the final days of October...

βœ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ Intuitive Art Class πŸ–ŒοΈβœ¨
We are putting our hands to paint and brush as we explore ourselves through art and the magick of the Full Moon. Join me at Carm Haven Studios on Sunday evening for a cozy Intuitive Art making experience.

Join Kim and I at Vessel Invermere for an evening of honoring Samhain. As the veil becomes most thin, energies rise and spirit comes to us with messages. πŸŒΏπŸ„ Meditation & Sound Journey πŸ„πŸŒΏ
More details to come... I'm dialing in a new indoor venue for my meditation & sound offerings. Stay tuned for my November offering.

πŸŒΏπŸŒ• Intuitive Art Class πŸŒ•πŸŒΏ
October 25 β€’ 6pm at Carmen Lewis

A little last minute art class is popping up in Invermere! Join Jasper at Carm Haven Studios for a cozy evening of mixed media art making.

This months Intuitive Art Class is focussed around the theme of the Full Moon! With the Ta**us Full Moon just around the corner, this theme called to me strongly πŸŒ•πŸŒΏ

Art is a beautiful way to discover ourselves and express our journey. Intuitive Art asks us to embrace organic imperfection and let go of the expectation of the final art prosuct, anchoring more so in the act of creating something. Explore yourself and creating art of the moment πŸ’–βœ¨

Gather, get curious with your creation and enjoy being with people who are also exploring themselves through artistic expression.

βœ¨πŸ„ Fascinating Fungi Friends πŸ„βœ¨

A creature that is born of this earth and returns from which it came. Much like us all.

But a little different than you and I, the mushrooms call, deep into the web beneath the surface of what our feet know. A network so intelligent it would make your mind grow just to know.

In fact it does, when we nibble and become one with fascinating fungi friends, who go on and on. To revel in the magick of cycles and revere the lush and mossy edge of a pond.

I find myself in awe of these creatures, whose intelligence goes beyond what the eye can see. Perhaps these fungi can show us the way, finding sense in you and in me.

Teachers, reachers to the sun, yet in the dark and damp ground. Blooming and pushing up soil to say hello. Rotting and turning to mush, much like dirt itself. Fleshy and colorful, no two are alike.

Yet, I wander and wonder what life would be, if we too slowly grew and rose only to fall and become one with the darkness below. Returning to the web of all we know. A simple cycle so valuable and refined. Earth mothers children of the damp and the divine.

I'm still reminiscing about my adventures in Kaslo at the Kootenay Mushroom Festival πŸ„πŸŒΏ

After the busyness of the market I went on a cute nature walk in search of some fungi friends. Chai latte in hand, I found myself practically tripping over mushrooms on the short walk I took. In fact, I spent more time enjoying gazing at mushrooms than walking! Upon leaving I had realized that I made it through 1/4 of the trail!

These are just a few of the magickal fungi I came across, I normally don't like picking mushrooms if I don't have intent to use them in some kind of way. But I'm not used to seeing such an abundance of these fungi friends! I had the pleasure of picking and examining all kinds of different species of mushrooms in Kaslo! I truly understand why they host a mushroom festival in this lush and cozy town!

If you recognize any of these beauties let me know! I haven't begun to try and identify them yet. Though I believe I recognize a couple.

A piece of my heart was left by the stream where all of the mushrooms grow and my heart did shimmer & gleam ✨

Huge thank you to KMF for inviting me out to vend this year πŸ’–πŸ«ΆπŸ» I had THE BEST time with you all! The mushrooms are calling and I must go. I'm off to Kaslo!

I'm excited to be sharing my whimsical forest fairy creations with all of the cool fungi loving people at the Kootenay Mushroom Festival this weekend πŸ₯°πŸ„πŸŒΏ These are just some of my latest creations that you can find at my whimsical green table ✨ Kootenay Mushroom Festival

I'm currently on the road headed for the west koots! Honestly, any excuse to go to the west Kootenays is an absolute pleasure for me. I love it over there! It's crazy how different mother nature is from one valley to another. I always enjoy how humid, lush and colorful the West Kootenays are.

I'm excited to celebrate and explore the magickal kingdom of fungi this weekend. Will you be there? Come say Hi to all of the amazing vendors at the Kaslo Legion as you float between the talks, stages and mushroom forays ✨

See you soon Kaslo!

Blessed be the colored leaves, the crisp breeze and the slow slumber of the earth πŸ‚

September feels like it flew by in the blink of an eye. Like one last wildly whirring month of activities, travel and time with family.

October always calls in this slow, soothing energy for me. As I watch the trees change colors, marking the mountains with warmth and flare, I find myself remembering that the darkness of the year is approaching swiftly.

I'm brought to the stove to stir bubbling cauldrons of nourishing soups and stews.

I'm called to the bowls in the darkness of the night, singing soothing frequencies in my home and out into the land and the ethers.

My hands come to clay and I reflect on the many gifts this medium has brought to me, and the ancient nature of this art form. I wonder if any of my ancestors placed hands to clay?

As the birds fly south and the ravens come closer to the land searching for carrion, I too find myself coming closer to the places in which I am an opportunist.

October breezes blow in a shift.

Autumn calls us inward.

Into our homes to prepare our nests.

Into ourselves to reflect.

Into the darkness of the year, a time of deep wisdom, thin veils and dying earth.

I've been sitting with this months autumnal offerings. Looking into the cauldron of the collective and finding inspiration in the trees whispers. The bowls and I will be in Invermere sharing space for rest and rejuvenation twice this month. Along with a special offering for Samhain.

Stay tuned for details πŸ‚βœ¨

Oooooh it's my favorite time of year! Autumn, when the leaves are falling, the Halloween decorations are out and some of the most beautiful full moons of the year are about to peek out of the night sky!

There's something so nostalgic about this time of year. I've always loved Halloween and crisp mornings. During autumn I usually find myself painting cute ghosts and pumpkins. I particularly loved how this cute bowl turned out!

Like come on, how adorable is the blushing ghost and that plump lil pumpkin? Plus, this bowl is sporting a new glaze that I recently added to my collection! Amaco Deep Speckled Olive 😍 I love how this glaze looks like a delicious shiny apple.

The folks at my recent market gigs have LOVED the ghost and pumpkin pinch pottery! This one here is 🧑SOLD🧑 My last available pumpkin piece ended up at made In The Mountains today! They got a cheeky lil restock from me after Fall Fest πŸ‘€ Pop over there and see what's new!

More ghost and pumpkin pinch pottery is coming πŸŽƒπŸŒΏ including some beautiful mugs that will be available on my 0nline Sh0p Mug Drop! Which has been rescheduled to October 17th! Mark your calendars! You don't want to miss your chance to snag one of my signature mugs πŸ₯°

πŸ‚πŸ„ Kickin' it at Fall Fest! πŸ„πŸ‚

Today you can find my creations and I at the Fall Fest event in Invermere! Wow it's wild to think that this is my last outdoor event of the year! And what a great one to close out the season!

We've got an array of amazing local vendors here, talented live musicians setting the vibes, games and activities for the kiddos and the legion is hosting a BBQ! It's a beautiful autumn day for some time with mountain loving community πŸ₯°

Cool breezes and blue skies, lots of love for local art and plenty of familiar faces. I'm grateful to call this community home πŸ’–

Come by and enjoy Fall Fest while it's here! Much like the leaves on the trees, Fall Fest is fleeting! We are here until 2pm πŸ‚

Musings from the Autumnal Equinox πŸ‚

Mother Earth always knows.

Her wisdom rising from the forest floor, through the soles of my feet as I take gentle steps upon her. The gentle hum of the roots beneath me.

The mighty stillness of the trees. Planted in one place forever, always observing yet so very still.

The trees teach me that even in times of hardship or uncertain elements, that I can too hold strong and remain still. Shaking off old leaves among the rumble of the external world.

When I seek strength and patience I go to the trees. Their earthly teachings always remind me that we can be so similar.

Seemingly doing nothing, but simultaneously growing, shedding, and deepening my roots.

Sometimes the journey is experienced through stillness.

Sometimes the learning comes from observing.

Sometimes, we just have to exist and trust what comes.

Blessed be thy autumn air, crisp and cold.

May the bounty of harvest warm these bones.

As I lay my body to the night,

May yee rest as spirit takes flight.

Fluttering to the harvest moon,

A moth, a hare, a maidens tune.

Transforming pelt to match the snow,

Magick and wonder, the moons ever-glow.

Breathe in the air from crushed leaf,

Brush and rake, reveal what is beneath.

Soil rich and richer still,

Cool winds blow, I grab my twill.

By my will may this be,

An autumn welcome naturally.
