Way to go Kamloops in Bloom Team! for making our Kamloops Community a little bit nicer with every project! We were more than happy to donate the river rocks for this project to help decorate around "The Loops" heart sculpture sitting by Cascades Casino in Kamloops. This sculpture lights up at night and shows a background of the Kamloops landscape/mountains through it for photo opportunities by locals and tourists alike! Take your photo with it today!

Here's our Maddi! So proud of her and Emi and what they accomplished together!! ❤️

Meet Madi.
At just 8 years old, she saw the heartbreaking effects wildfires were having on people in our region and decided she wanted to help.

So, alongside her friend Emmy, she set up a lemonade stand at her mom's workplace and got to work raising funds for wildfire relief.

They raised nearly $400, plus a matching contribution from a local company, and even a donation from Madi's own savings account.

Together, they brought in an incredible $783 for people affected by the wildfires. Their donation helps us to support local organizations and communities providing immediate relief and longer-term recovery to displaced British Columbians.

We're inspired by Madi's generosity and determination to help those who need it. Her actions are proof that you are never too young to make a difference.

Thank you, Madi and Emmy. You're helping bring hope when it's needed most. ❤️

Today is the day! ✨Maddi took her hard-earned donations from her Lemon-Egg Stand down to United Way Kamloops to make her donation toward the Wildfire Recovery Fund! Instead of the initial $383 Maddi earned at her booth she went there today with a $783 donation 😮in hand due to the GENEROUS donation matching (and then some) from RyRy Thecedarguy of TopKnot-Cedars. (He told us he didn't need a shout-out but obviously we couldn't let him get away with this generousity and not say anything! Please pop over to his page and give him a like, a share or even a thank you for being amazing!)

Thanks again to the community that came out and supported Maddi's Lemon-Egg stand last Friday! You really made the birthday-gal's day special! Every dollar counts and she was sure proud to hand over her donation today!

WOW Kamloops! Thanks to your support and the generous donations at their Lemon-Egg Stand on Friday, Maddi and Emi raised $383 toward the BC Wildfire Recovery Effort! Not only did they learn valuable skills regarding running a business but they also learned how the generous spirit of their community can make a difference together! Today’s the day! “Lemon-Egg Stand” Day has arrived 🍋, and we have TWO surprises today to share with you!

First – Today is both Maddi AND Kristina’s birthday (Birthday Buddies! 😁🎂) so you just have to come by Metro today and help them celebrate by supporting the lemonade stand and getting some goodies! That is their Birthday wish and you have the power to make it come true!!

Second – As a last-minute selfless birthday act Maddi has decided that ALL PROCEEDS she makes today will be donated to the Wildfire Recovery effort to assist in the people of our province recovering from the devastating wildfire season in BC. She has been deeply moved by the situation many people have been in and recently being touched by a fire-scare herself, she has seen the reality of what people are going through, and wants to help however she can! Her and her "employee"/friend, Emi, will be working hard this afternoon making as much as they can to donate to the cause!

Swing by Metro between 10am and 2pm today to support this young entrepreneur/philanthropist and make her Birthday extra special!

THIS FRIDAY! Maddi will be back with her "Lemon-Egg Stand" selling fresh lemonade, farm fresh eggs and some baked goodies at Metro Reload's Yard, 1205 Chief Louis Way! Come support this hard working young entrepreneur and get a refreshing cold drink between your loads of gravel!

Lemonade day is an entrepreneur program designed to teach youth the ins and outs of running their own business for the day, a lemonade stand. Youth are given resources and support needed to set up their business and all proceeds go back to the hard working youths at the end of their day! This teaches business skills they can use later in life and sets them up for success! No crying over spilt milk...but spilt fuel is a totally different story! This week we're proud to be out with our pals RAM Enviro Group helping to clean up the roadsides and removing contaminated soil to restore the environment! Removing the bad soil and replacing with new, clean soil so the ecosystem can return to normal. Thanks to the Ram-Team for the photo and great work everyone!! 🦉🐏
