The Work Zone Safety campaign is underway! Roadside workers include truck drivers, first responders, tow operators, utility workers, flaggers, garbage handlers, and more. Significant progress is being made in Fraser Lake. The curb pour on Tunasa Drive is complete, base gravels are being placed, and sidewalk preparation is underway. Subgrade excavation is also complete on Tunasa Crescent, with subbase gravels placed to the intersection, and all underground utilities are now in the ground.

Paving, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and yard restorations are up next as the project heads toward end of summer completion.

Work is advancing at the Newsome Creek Infrastructure Improvements Project in .

The new steel has been delivered to site. Tree clearing on both sides of is complete, and crews are preparing to install creek diversion that will safely redirect water around the active work area, keeping it clean and protecting fish habitat downstream.

It doesn't look like much is happening but that red piece of equipment around the steel pile is doing a lot of work.

The hydraulic casing oscillator grips the steel casing and slowly twists it back and forth while pushing it into the ground, keeping the hole from collapsing while the drill works inside. It's one of those machines that doesn't look like it's doing much but without it, installing large-diameter piles safely in difficult ground would be very difficult.

Forty piles into the Highway 97 Cottonwood Hill Phase 3 stabilization project north of , with 212 still to go.
