Another transformation in the books!
We helped our clients say goodbye to their old deck—the one that had definitely seen better days (and more than a few Canadian winters!).

In its place, we built a brand new deck designed for comfort, durability, and year-round enjoyment. With a solid roof overhead, featuring a pine tongue and groove ceiling, outdoor living no longer depends on the weather forecast. With a shaded area perfect for relaxing or firing up the BBQ, adding louvered privacy walls on both ends brings the perfect balance of airflow and shade.

We just finished a custom timber porch on this cozy cottage getaway, and the whole place instantly feels more inviting. With strong lines, warm cedar tones, this isn’t just an entrance, it’s a place where the water views can do the talking!

From the 8x8 posts & beams, to the exposed 3x6 rafters and cedar shake detailing, every element was designed to bring timeless beauty and durability.

We also custom built the hand rails and spindles, giving the entryway a one-of-a-kind look that blends craftsmanship with classic style.

New-found park views!

This client-driven design transformed a once closed off space, into a stunning indoor/outdoor experience. For years, this home only had a small window facing the park - but not anymore!

We installed a massive 12’ sliding door to open up the view and flood the interior with natural light. And with a custom theatre-style deck system, park-side movie nights are now a reality! 🎬🍿

What a bonus when a deck frame is in good shape!

After stripping it down, we cleaned off the joists/beams, added synthetic tape for future protection, new fascia to picture frame everything, new steps and decking. Voila!

We have done a few of these refreshers, and it is so satisfying to know that the deck can be used for many more years to come.

Our family and friends know this, but we really couldn’t be luckier to have our sister and her family move back to Kingston! We only dreamed of having them back in Canada, let alone in the same city. It has been 25 years in the making!

The icing on the cake? Being able to design and renovate a custom home for them!

We cut off most of the back roof and framed up a new full height bedroom. This allowed us to then frame a new massive Living Room, complete with a vaulted ceiling, Douglas Fir timber rafters, and the focal point being a beautiful fireplace! The huge custom kitchen includes an oversized island, and a classic wine/coffee bar (now named the Archibar!). A new roofline tying into this space allowed for a beautiful screened in porch, with skylights to really open things up.

We truly feel like we won the lottery being able to have our family so close. Next up? Parties at their place!

We had a deck-cellent time (we promise to never say that ever again) expanding this backyard beauty!

We took the existing deck and gave it a serious upgrade—complete with an engineered lower deck section ready for a future hot tub.
